Instagram is going to be merged with Facebook in 2013

Instagram is now property of Facebook, and sooner or later this had to happen. Instagram just updated the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, now ready for the next step.

Took from the Instagram Blog, nothing will change in your account, but everything you will share will be published also on Facebook, without an opt-out option, so you’re forced to accept them.

• Nothing has changed about your photos’ ownership or who can see them.
• Our updated privacy policy helps Instagram function more easily as part of Facebook by being able to share info between the two groups. This means we can do things like fight spam more effectively, detect system and reliability problems more quickly, and build better features for everyone by understanding how Instagram is used.
• Our updated terms of service help protect you, and prevent spam and abuse as we grow.

These changes will be effective starting from 13th of January 2013, less than a month. As you see, the newly updated Privacy Policy will guarantee better protection from spam and improve the overall stability of the system which are perfect, because Instagram will be totally integrated with Facebook.

So there won’t be any problems using Instagram after that date; the only difference is that your account is going to work strictly with Facebook, that’s it.

Instagram è ora proprietà di Facebook, e prima o poi questo doveva accadere. Instagram ha aggiornato la Politica sulla Privacy e i Termini di Servizio, ora pronti per il nuovo passo.

Secondo il blog ufficiale, non cambierà nulla nel proprio account, tuttavia quello che condividerete sarà reso disponibile anche su Facebook. I nuovi cambiamenti sono obbligatori, quindi non c’è una via di uscita.

I cambiamenti saranno resi effettivi a partire dal 13 gennaio 2013, meno di un mese. Come vedete, la nuova Politica sulla Privacy garantirà una migliore protezione dallo spam e migliorare la stabilità generale del sistema, poiché Instagram sarà parte integrante di Facebook.

Quindi non ci saranno problemi nell’uso di Instagram dopo quella data; è solo che tutto quello che pubblicate sarà reso disponibile anche su Facebook, tutto qui.
